Submersible Electric Motor
"Torque Plus" ELECTRIC DRIVE SELF-CLEANING SCREENS
For lower flow situations where minimising energy loss is crucial, the "Torque Plus" uses a submersible electric motor for screen rotation, making it more energy-efficient than using intake water. Backwashing is still performed with water.

KleenScreen Range:
-
Self-Cleaning Mechanism: Rotates the screen over a backwash bar using a water jet directed at drive blades.
-
Energy Usage: Uses up to 2 kW on larger screens for screen rotation.
-
Consideration: In some situations, it's more efficient to use an electric motor for rotation. Particularly in low flow situations where you need to direct as much of the water inflow as possible to your system. Also in situations where the larger screens are used, you can save significantly on power by using the more-efficient electric drive.
KST+ Range:
-
Efficient Design: Achieves rotation with only 10-20 watts of power.
-
Operation: Still requires pressurised water for wash jets.
-
Enhanced System: Utilises a miniature variable speed drive and submersible gear-motor for boosted drive power, improving reliability and efficiency of the cleaning process.
